After pre-reading a bit of this play, I realized that M would have a hard time following. But I had remembered seeing the 1966 film that would be a good substitute. I watched the film and came up with a 13-day schedule that can be done in a twelve-week term. The document includes a link to a YouTube video summarizing the life of More, where to start the movie each week, references to which pages of the book the scenes from the movie correspond, and screen shots of the actors to identify who is who on the screen.

For my special ed kiddo, I wanted him to be able to see the wonder of this study without being frustrated by the vocabulary he doesn’t understand and concepts he can’t grasp. So I reviewed all the lectures and guides, and came up with this 14-week study that I hope he will enjoy.

The Adventures with Microscope lessons were not working for M. So I decided to use some of the ideas about what to look at and find my own resources to go with them. This is a list of 9 activities with linked videos and diagrams. I’ve also included ideas for adding additional lessons for which the student gets to choose which animal part to observe.
